Tango Queer: territorio y performance de una apropiación divergente

Con la revitalización que el tango atraviesa en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, en la actualidad surge una serie de innovaciones fecundas y prometedoras que se inscriben en todos los terrenos que hacen al fenómeno. Una de ellas, incipiente por el momento, es la del autodenominado tango queer: movida, microclima, microescena urbana, tendencia, proyecto, son algunas de las categorías que pueden ilustrar una aproximación. El circuito queer-gay-lésbico adapta y transforma el género y se lo apropia tratando de definir un territorio liberado que evite caer en el gueto identitario. En este trabajo se propone una acercamiento al fenómeno del tango queer en la ciudad de Buenos Aires y se desarrollan elementos para comprender las tramas de significación que articulan y dan sentido a las prácticas de los participantes.

Representation for LGBTQ actors of shade has been given a bigger platform in recent years, thanks to the success of shows favor “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “Pose,” and films prefer the Oscar-winning “Moonlight.” But as the nuances surrounding diversity continue to stretch and evolve, these “double minority” actors still often find themselves as spectators, in an industry where the desire to be seen can often outweigh the images being presented.
