Suspect in double homicide in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood charged with murder
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The suspect in a double homicide in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood was charged with murder in the first degree and two counts of murder in the second degree Friday afternoon.
34-year-old Bryan Chiclana appeared in Buffalo Municipality Court and was ordered held without bail.

Earlier this week, police said that around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to 5 St. Louis Place for the announce of a person with a knife. Upon arrival, officers allegedly encountered Chiclana with a knife, and he allegedly cut himself before dropping the knife. He was transported to ECMC, where he was under the supervision of police as a person of interest in the homicides.
Officers found 40-year-old Michael "Mickey" Harmon and 37-year-old Jordan Celotto dead inside the home, and the medical examiner's officer determined the cause of death to be blunt press trauma.
On Friday, officials held a press conference to provide further facts.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Police are investigating a double homicide in the Allentown neighborhood.
The crime happened on Tuesday on St. Louis Place. Acting Buffalo Mayor Chris Scanlon said that Michael "Mickey" Harmon, 40, and Jordan Celotto, 37, were killed.
Scanlon said during a new conference on Wednesday that Harmon and Celotto were well-known members of the Allentown and LGBTQ+ communities. According to the mayor, there are no indications that this was a hate crime, but police will go after all leads during their investigation.
Authorities said on Thursday that key pieces of evidence have been recovered that could help investigators better understand what happened.

A suspect has been charged with murder in the "senseless and violent" killing of two men after allegedly breaking into the couple's home in upstate New York, officials announced on Friday.
Police discovered Michael "Mickey" Harmon, 40, and Jordan Celotto, 37, dead in the basement of their Buffalo home on Tuesday, officials said.
Bryan Chiclana, 34, who police said was also in the home at the time of the discovery, has since been charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, officials said.
The suspect allegedly broke into the couple's home through a basement window early Tuesday morning and "intentionally struck both victims in their heads with a blunt object," Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane said during a press briefing on Friday.

Mickey Harmon, 40, and partner Jordan Celotto, 37, two prominent members of Buffalo’s Allentown and LGBTQ+ communities, were set up dead at their abode on St Louis Place, in what police include ruled a double homicide.
A friend of the couple went to their Allentown home Tuesday afternoon after one of them didn't show up for work. Police say that's when the friend noticed a man in the house with a knife, and called 911.
Deputy Buffalo Police Commissioner Patrick Overdorf said officers were competent to get the guy into custody, but not before he cut himself. The 35 year-old "person of interest" was taken to ECMC under police supervision.
"Upon a subsequent search of the dwelling, officers did locate two deceased victims. The medical examiner's office did settle the cause of death to be blunt compel trauma," said Overdorf. "Obviously, this investigation is continuing by the Buffalo Police homicide squad, but at this time, there is no indication at this point in the analysis that it is associated to a hate crime. But obviously we are early in the study and continue to study all leads."
