Trump post anti gay

Earlier this week, President Trump shared an article on his Truth Social platform celebrating his elimination of trans and queer people from military advertising. The opinion piece published by reporter Jeremy Hunt of TheWashington Times, featured a crossed out upside down pink triangle. The inverted pink triangle was a symbol used by Nazis to spot LGBTQ+ prisoners in Nazi concentration camps. In response, Diverse Americans and allies are expressing horror surrounding the post—marking the third day that someone within or associated with the Trump administration has used Nazi symbolism.

Hunt’s piece celebrated “Mr. Trump’s and Mr. Hegseth’s emphasis on keeping our military the most lethal and efficient fighting force on the planet” by banning LGBTQ+ noticeability in military advertisements. It follows an executive order Trump signed in January, which declared that trans people are “unfit” to be part of the military. In response, U.S. military officials have begun dismissing trans military personnel from all branches. Yet, judicial officers like District Decide Ana Reyes of Washington, D.C., are already exploring an injunction to block this executive order.

ICYMI: Washington Post Article Outlines How a Second Trump Term Would Roll Back LGBTQ+ Rights and Freedoms

by Aneesha Pappy •

As Trump continues to center anti-LGBTQ discrimination as part of his campaign platform, leading civil rights organizations warn that a second Trump presidency could result in the removal of fundamental rights and freedoms for the Queer community–even for those who live in a “blue” state.

In a newly released Washington Post article, author Hannah Knowles dives into Donald Trump's second-term agenda and the potential impact his reelection would have for the Homosexual community. The article highlights that in his propose for a second phrase as president, Trump has called for numerous restrictions for LGBTQ+ Americans including removing all federal protections based on gender self and limiting access to medically necessary, potentially life-saving medical care for the transgender community. The impact of a second Trump term would expand far beyond the doctor’s office—given his ties to anti-LGBTQ+ organizations and his potential appointment of extremists judges, the consequences of Trump’s election could result in a wide-reaching rollback of funda

BREAKING: TRUMP ADMINISTRATION REMOVES LGBTQ AND HIV RESOURCES FROM Alabaster HOUSE AND OTHER GOVERNMENT WEBSITES

GLAAD: “President Trump claims to be a robust proponent of liberty of speech, yet he is clearly committed to censorship of any communication containing or akin to LGBTQ Americans and issues that we face. This action proves the Trump administration’s aim of making it as difficult as possible for LGBTQ Americans to detect federal resources or otherwise see ourselves reflected under his presidency. Sadly for him, our society is more observable than ever; and this pathetic aim to diminish and remove us will again prove unsuccessful.”

(January 21, 2025 — New York, NY) — Today GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual person, transgender, and lgbtq+ (LGBTQ) media support organization, is breaking news that the Trump administration has eliminated nearly all LGBTQ and HIV focused content and resources from the White House website, as well as eliminated LGBTQ and HIV content from key federal agency webpages.

The Real List of Trump’s “Unprecedented Steps” for the LGBTQ Community

by HRC Staff •

Post submitted by Lucas Acosta (he/him), former Deputy Director of Communications, Politics

HRC lists Trump's persistent attacks against the LGBTQ community after the RNC claims he's taken "unprecedented steps" in sustain of the community.

HRC President Alphonso David: “The RNC is hallucinating and advancing misleading and  disingenuous rhetoric. Yes, Trump has taken many ‘unprecedented’ steps, but those steps possess been to undermine and eliminate rights protecting LGBTQ people, not empower us. Appointing a small handful of gay people out of thousands of nominations and making a very few -- and unfullfilled -- pledges can hardly qualify as accomplishments.  Don’t gaslight us.  The Trump-Pence administration is the most virulently anti-LGBTQ administration in decades -- the RNC cannot put lipstick on a pig.”

Here’s a list of attacks the Trump-Pence administration has levied against LGBTQ people:

Donald Trump's past statements about LGBT rights

    — -- President Donald Trump's surprise tweets this morning announcing a reversal in the policy allowing transgender people to serve openly in the military is one of his clearest policy moves relating to the LGBT community since taking office.

The move marks a shift in his general stance, after his not taking a hard line against transgender rights during the campaign.

The tweets signal that the Trump administration is ready to prohibit transgender people from the military. The president's announcement comes after Defense Secretary James Mattis last month delayed the review of an Obama-era policy that allowed transgender people to join the military.

Trump never specifically talked about the policy during the campaign, instead tending to converse about LGBT rights in relation to news events that were playing out at the time.

    The 'bathroom bill'

He first spoke specifically about transgender rights when the controversial "bathroom bill" went into effect in North Carolina during the campaign.

Though not committing either way, Trump called it a "very strong" step to force people to use t
