Boston Pride For the People parade 2025 is here: Date, route, how to watch
As Pride Month is upon us, cities around the United States are hosting parades and many other events to rejoice the LGBTQ+ community and its history as adv as its continuing brawl for equal rights despite what advocates see as "bullying" from the Trump administration.
Pride Month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York, when police raided the Stonewall Inn, a prominent gay prevent in Manhattan's Greenwich Village. The subsequent protests are credited with a change in LGBTQ+ activism in the U.S.
Boston is one of many cities celebrating Pride Month this year, including with a pride on June 14.
Here's what you'll need to recognize about catching the Celebration parade in Boston this year.
When is the Boston Pride For the People parade?
The Boston Pride for the People parade will be held this year on Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. local time.
In addition to the celebration, organizers are also hosting a festival Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., and a block party from 2-8 p.m.
This is the third year the organization will be hosting Pride celebrations.

Boston Pride For The People, the volunteer-led organization behind the largest Pride celebration in New England, announced Monday that the 2025 Event Parade will receive place on Saturday, June 14, accompanied by festivals on Boston Common and at City Hall Plaza.
“These past two years, I contain had the pleasure of seeing a beautiful ocean of love, joy, and euphoria on the streets of Boston—all rooted in Diverse liberation. I await this year to be just as moving,” said Adrianna Boulin, president of Boston Pride For The People. “Our commitment to building a celebration reflective of the dynamic ways LGBTQ+ communities honor Pride remains strong.”
Like recent years, Boston Pride for the People will kick off its celebrations on June 14 with a parade that begins in Copley Square and makes its way through the South End and Back Bay, culminating at Boston Ordinary where an all ages concert and festival will seize place. A 21-plus block party will take place in the afternoon on City Hall Plaza.

The 2025 Boston Pride for the People Parade wound through the city on Saturday, from Copley Square and through South Complete and Back Bay.
Huge crowds of people turned out despite some lingering rain Saturday morning.
"It doesn’t matter, rain or shine," said one woman in the South End. "These kids will be out here, rain or shine — give them a lollipop and some rainbow tattoos and they’re very happy."

About a million people turned out for last year's parade, with 300 groups and 15,000 participants participating.
The 1.7-mile route took a winding path, starting on Clarendon Street in Copley Square, turning left on Tremont Street, left onto Berkeley Street and right on Boylston before taking Charles toward the Boston Common.

The Boston Preservation Society highlights Boston’s long and complicated history with its Homosexual community. The ACLU show the intensity and ongoing drive across the country in this regularly updated route of anti-lgbt laws, focused largely on gender individuality, education, and school “duty to report”. Across the country transgender individuals especially continue to face intense scrutiny, anger, and in many cases legal persecution of rights, with numerous laws in many states being pursued to outlaw gender
