The picture on the advocate is a dark vegetation line contrasted by the wide blue sky above it. ‘GEORGIA’ is written in big white letters across the top, the bottom saying “Welcome to Adventure.” It’s faded, enjoy it has taken one too many trips in the back of a mail truck, tattered and worn.
Eddie flips it over, the back scrawled with quick but somewhat clean handwriting—something personal. Scanning the words his eyes release to the corner—the address.
‘Maddie Kendall, 1500 Hemlock Ave, Hershey, PA 17033’
What the hell?
Or,
An AU where Buck's postcards, which he sent to Maddie, were forwarded to Eddie on deployment by mistake through a Military Outreach Program. They become a reason for Eddie to hold on through the dark times, becoming attached to the man behind the letters and his stories of his travels. Until, by a twist of fate, they bring him tackle to face with Buck himself.
This AU is canon divergent. Some things convert but some stay the same.
